The Proposal Location: Key West, Florida "It was very romantic and a complete surprise. Before we left on our vacation to Florida, Graeme had secretly made all of the arrangements.All I knew was that he'd set up a "special date" for Saturday night. We went down to the marina in Key West and boarded a lovely boat called the Dreamchaser and were off for a sunset sail in the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, the crew was in on the whole thing so they kept me distracted while Graeme snuck the ring out. So as the sun dropped into the water, Graeme dropped down on one knee and reminded my why I love him so much. And to think, the day before I was teasing him about not being as romantic as he used to be! We continued to watch the sun go down and drink champange and started to plan." - Tamara  This is the boat that we got engaged on - The Dreamchaser. It is a wonderful Trimaran owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Nancy and Matt. They were both incredibly friendly, keeping us well supplied with drinks, and a narration about local points of interest, customs and history. They made us feel very much at home and we had a thoroughly enjoyable sunset cruise - even before we broke out the ring and the champagne! If you are ever in Key West, look them up for a sail. |
