The Tesche Val were driven from Antonica long ago, to an unknown haven. There they grew in power and might, waiting for the day when they could return to their rightful homelands in Antonica. The Tesche Val are very intelligent and powerful Gnolls, possessing the knowledge to use most forms of spell-casting. They are ruled by the Ishva Mal, which means "ruler of the people". He presides over a senate called "The Council of Nine".
One member of this council wanted to bring the lost and forbidden art of Necromancy to the Tesche Val. The council opposed him fiercly, so he took his followers and fled back to Antonica, creating a splinter faction of Tesche Val. He named himself the Ishva Mal and he and his followers favoured Innoruuk over Brell Serilis. This splinter faction hated the SplitPaw Gnolls for remaining on Antonica, so recently they retook Paw and defeated the SplitPaw. Paw belongs to them now!
The Tesche Val have a clearly defined hierarchy, hence their ranks such as Rosche Mal, Lteth Val, Tesche Mas, etc. Up to now though, this ranking system remains undeciphered.
