San Diego Fires
Well first things first: We’re safe and ok right now and there are a lot of people in far worse situations although I haven’t heard of any friends who have lost their houses yet. As we reach the end of the third day many of the fires are still uncontained, but CalFire are confident that tomorrow will see better results.
Below is a map of the area. The dark red/orange areas are burn areas and the yellow indicates evacuation areas. As you can see we are sandwiched between the large Witch Fire to the south and east, that burned its way through Ramona and Escondido; and the Fallbrook fire north of us.

Below is a picture taken this morning outside the house. Look at the ikky colour of the sky.

Below is another taken on my way to work which is on the edge of the smoke plume, to let you compare the colour of the skies.

All in all, a terrifying situation for everyone in the County.
