New car
After 10 years and an increasing amount of suspicious noises, it was time to get rid of the trusty Jeep. At 138,000 miles it had certainly given great service. I actually set out to buy a Prius but happened upon a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT at the Pontiac dealer that was so loaded with options that I couldn’t resist the bargain. “The Manager’s special” I call it because it was owned by the manager of the dealer who only put just over 8000 miles on it. When I priced up the 2007 model with all the same options it came to almost $8000 more than I paid for it.
It drives very nicely. Plenty of power but smooth with excellent handling. It has ABS and traction control, sliding sun roof, leather interior, alloy wheels, 6 CD/satellite radio stereo. Next week I’m having an iPod adaptor fixed and LoJack installed. I wouldn’t have bought most of the stuff that came with it, but at the price it was a great bargain.
