New Job
On Feb 1 I started my new job at Adicio. I was very happy to receive a very generous offer from them, since my two interviews there revealed a company of warm, friendly and dedicated people. The offices are nice and modern and developers work in an open-plan area that is very intimate and easy to talk to other developers yet surprisingly free of noise and distractions. A great work environment.
Naturally like all new jobs, I face a huge learning curve to come up to speed with the codebase, internal procedures and products and my first task has thrown me right into understanding a very complicated yet key system. This is a great opportunity to learn the underlying infrastructure and then be able to improve and rework legacy code, to make everyone’s life easier going forward.
Adicio is about 20 minutes from home and a very easy commute that doesn’t take me onto the awfully crowded freeways. It’s a breeze compared to the last 10 years of commuting down the I5 for an hour.
