Our first Travel Bug

Today we went geocaching (and boy was it hot in Escondido, even at 6pm!), and managed to deposit our first ever Travel Bug - Gothica! Monitor his travels. Gothica is a cute little gargoyle keychain. Let’s see how far around the world he can travel on his quest for gothic places.

Semester #3 nears

Semester #3 is just under 2 weeks away from starting and so I am in preparation mode: Scanning my textbooks, gathering my thoughts, etc. This semester is “Tools of Modern Astronomy”, covering observation techniques such as optical telescope types, radio, x-ray, CCD photography, high energy particle astronomy, etc.
