I’ve spent a week trying to put together my new AMD system. First I had it working, then I flashed the BIOS because the Asus motherboard manual said to do so. The motherboard never worked after that!

I returned the motherboard and now it fails the CPU test. So I sent back the CPU for a replacement and probably won’t get the new one for a few days yet. I just hope that it works after all that… if not then I have no idea whether the motherboard is broken again, and if so did it take the - new- cpu with it, or what?

The upside about no desktop machine at home, is that I have gotten a lot of reading done.
