Writing

February 24th, 2012

Time for an update on writing: I finished my debut novel last month and have been looking for an agent. I’ve approached 10 so far with 4 rejections. Not a large enough data sample for me to get worried yet. Agents process hundreds of queries a week, so it is incredibly difficult to get noticed without a publishing rep. Maybe after 30 or so, I might revisit the book and see if I can figure out why no one is showing an interest.

Meanwhile, I am hard at work on my second book. Got to keep writing!

My “official” web site (doesn’t that sound grand?) is undergoing a facelift to make it more professional and colourful, and I hope that will be finished this weekend. My traffic has fallen to near zero during the construction phase and I am looking forward to getting back into blogging there. www.graemeing.com if you aren’t tired of me repeating it yet. :)
