Geocaching

Recently we took up the hobby of Geocaching. This is a fun little sport that combines the use of a handheld GPS with healthy, stress-relieving hikes. You don't have to be a hiker to participate however - we certainly are not - since some of the geocache hikes are as little as quarter or half a mile over fairly flat terrain.

We were surprised to find that our first few hikes took us to places within the local towns that we had never been to before. We discovered that little pieces of scrubland or clumps of trees and undergrowth are all about us, right under our noses, and we drive past them all the time without paying them any attention.

Geocaching is a world-wide sport and offers the chance to relive those treasure hunts we all used to do as children. What is Geocaching? Take a read and see if it is for you.
